厄尔·德尔·比格斯（一八八四～一九三三），美国作家。一九一三年出版了第一部侦探推理小说《秃子旅店的七把钥匙》，旋即被改编为戏剧，在百老汇上演，令他未满三十岁便一举成名。不过，使比格斯名存侦探推理文学史且尤为人熟知的是他从一九二五年至一九三二年创作的六部以陈查理为主人公的侦探推理小说：《陈查理探案》、《没有上锁的房间》、《中国鹦鹉》、《幕布背后》、《黑骆驼》及《守护神》。陈查理这一美国作家笔下的华人侦探，曾多次被搬上银幕，广受欢迎。
